Julie is about 8 months along, expecting a baby boy, Keenan! She was certainly beautiful and had that warm glow about her. This is the first mommy that I've photographed where I won't be here to meet the little bebe in the belly. :( Sad, but I'm really glad I got the chance to work with you Julie... and I'll be praying for a beautiful and empowering birth for you and Keenan!

Beautiful Julie...
Monday
"Ella-Dini!"
This little girly reminds me of a porcelin doll.... especially with her gorgeous blue eyes and her delicate little mouth! While Ella was quite serious for a good part of the session, Mom & Dad managed to get her giggling to catch a few of her sweet smiles by signing the "Ella-dini song!" I'm ABSOLUTELY in love with the first 3 images, especially the one where she's laying her head down on the bed! What a beauty!
Carter the Cutie....
Carter is a sweet little guy who certainly kept me nice and busy as he explored the area and had fun! I had the pleasure of doing Carter's mom's pregnancy portraits a while back and I'm always so excited to get to meet the baby that was in the belly!!! Although, I met Mr. Carter once at a lunch with a few mommy friends when he was about 5 months old and my daughter, Elise, was about 2 months old. Courtney (mommy) was so worried that Carter wasn't holding still for me to take his picture... and she was really wanting to see his beautiful eyes because he's apparently a squinter. I kept telling her not to worry, that the running around and playing was the BEST thing possible for Carter's age (18 mos)! I think we certainly achieved catching the beautiful green in his eyes in several of these too! Here are few that really showed off his personality!
Next up: Miss Ella, Julie's Pregnancy Portraits, Farah & David's Are Expecting, Victoria's Senior Portraits, & finally The Lopez Kiddos!

It's Official!!!

Well... the word is out! In Bloom Photography is expanding all the way to Texas! Yep, that's right ya'll! After much prayer and consideration... my family and I are going to be moving to a quaint little town in West Texas called Sweetwater. My husband has decided to go back to school for wind energy technology and Sweetwater is the wind capital of the United States! We took a trip out there a few weeks ago to scope it out and fell in love. Not only did we rent a 3 bedroom home on and 1100 cattle ranch in the middle of a wind farm, but we met some wonderful people too and were greatly encouraged that this would be the right move for us.
It's VERY difficult to leave my business behind... especially considering how busy I've been in the new year, but this is going to be the best thing for our family in the long run... so off we go (in about a month)! I am in the works of figuring out just what WILL be happening with In Bloom in South Florida... if you've been working with me, I hope you'll stay tuned as I have a few fabulous ladies lined up to take the reigns and they look forward to working with you. We are still working out the details... but it should be very exciting stuff all around!
If you are a regular blogger, definitely check in from time to time to see what I'm up to out in Texas. I'll be doing a mass marketing effort to rebuild In Bloom, but I can't wait to "westernize" my portfolio too... I'll be posting the fruits of my labor on here... so be sure to check it out! And drop me a note to let me know you've vistited! :)
And for those of you that still have orders to place or unfinished business, don't worry... I'm only a phone call or an email away!! We'll work it all out through the mail!
Tuesday
Micheal & Kaileen...
This dynamic duo came to me for some professional head shots, as well as a "Sweetheart" session just to have some fun pictures around town! I really enjoyed their positive energy and fun spirit! I posted one of each of their head shots too... I don't usually blog head shot sessions... but I think I should because they are not a typical head shot!! I much prefer something like this as opposed to the typical back drop and lighting set up!
