Ok, so most of you know that I just returned from a work trip to South Florida a few days ago. It was a very successful trip... happy clients, beautiful weather, and not too much traffic! I came down with the purpose of shooting Marcus & Rebekkah's wedding, and ended up scheduling 7 sessions (3 of which were new clients!!) and 3 private photography how-to classes as well! When I wasn't shooting, I was spending time with my Mom, Dad, & Trystan... and eating at yummy restaurants like Cheesecake Factory & Pei Wei Asian Diner with good friends! I love my job!! :)Well... last year when I took my Sept/Oct. trips I chose not to blog the sessions and instead just focus on getting everything finished up. It was a wise choice, but it's so much fun to show everyone a bit of what I got... so this time I decided just to take one evening and do a HUGE blog post with previews from each session. Now, when I originally had this idea... I was going to just choose maybe 3 or 4 images from each session... but as you see, that went out the window! Sometimes it's just so hard to choose!!! I'll leave a few comments before each seperate session!! To all my clients, thank you so much for having me.... I look forward to next time! This is one of those "had to be there" moments.... check out the bridesmaid to the right on the phone... the one next to her was about to fall over from being nearly frozen in the cold weather, the Bride & Best Man are making a sandwich with the Groom... and the rest of the Groom's side are just trying to do what they've been told to do... lol! I always say that photographing familys and large groups is pure comedy for the photographer!!! :) It was! 
And that's all for now guys... more to come! Trey is On The Moooove! We had fun running around Delray Beach for this session! Trey is 3 years old and was very interested the shells and finding things in the sand! I think the sailboats really suit him... perhaps he'll be in the Navy or a Yacht Captain one day!

Welcome Baby Devon!! This little guy pretty much just wanted to eat the whole session! A classic example of how with a newborn session, anything goes!! So.. we had a few minutes where swaddling him seemed to do the trick and he drifted off to sleep... just in time to have to get him dressed and go outside for a few family shots! I'll tell ya, it's a lot of work being that cute, isn't it Devon?!

Big Brother & Sister.... who were very concerned about the little details when it came to their new baby brother... quite endearing! I enjoyed listening to how their Mom patiently explained the answers to their many questions!! Sweethearts.... So after C's private session, her hubby met up with us and we went down to the beach for some fun pics of the two of them! As soon as I saw this bridge, I knew we had to get under it somehow! I think the results were quite fun! 
Sweet Noah.... ugh, this little guy was just precious! I managed to get him to warm up to me pretty quickly and we had fun pretty much right from the start! We played on the playground, explored the water and mangrove swamp, sat on his bright blue chair and sang songs while he strummed his red guitar.... it was great! His Mom & Dad are friends with my dear friend Darren & his wife... Darren had me listed on his "Fan of" page on Facebook! How great is that?! Thanks for sharing your little man with me... he's precious!

Check out this wild zebra girl!! Mom bought this fabric to make a nursing cover (so crafty these Texas girls) and wanted to use it since it matched this little outfit of Kaysalynn's... it worked great!
Proud Papa... who recently bought a Nikon d500... he was right along side of me the whole time snappin' away! It was like we were the paparazzi! 
"Are we done yet?" Look at her little ear?! How cute!! :)Little Miss Baby K is quite the little sweetie! I took Mommy's pregnancy portraits a few months ago and was delighted to come back to see her! Again, I made this little hat for her to wear and I think she looks pretty cute!! It was quite a chilly day.. not too appropriate for outdoor baby pictures so we set up a little indoor studio for her close up! Crazy enough, we pulled up to someone's home and asked if we might take some pictures in their yard... I think they may have had the only living trees in all of Abilene (ok, well maybe that's an exaggeration)!! I had reallllly hoped for some blue sky in the tree shots, but it was a grey, cloudy day with very limited sunshine, not to mention the cold!! We spent all of about 2 minutes grabbing those, but wow, was I so happy with them!Hope you enjoy this preview Mom & Dad! :) Stay tuned for lots of fun things to come! This weekend I have 4 sessions to shoot... 3 family sessions and I'll be assisting a photographer bud of mine with a Bridal session in Abilene at the Swenson house! Next Thursday I fly to South Florida for Marcus & Rebekkah's wedding, as well as about 10 sessions... including the first part of 3 private photography classes with 3 lovely clients (the second part will be during my March trip and we'll cover a crash-course in Photoshop editing! Woo-hoo!)! I'm very excited and trying to get all my ducks in a row.... and do laundry so I can pack! Trystan gets to come with me this time... it's his first time going back to Florida since we moved to Texas a year ago! He's very excited to see some of his old friends!! :) OH- and I may be adding a 3rd trip to South Florida in May! I've been asked to fly home to photograph a new client's baby shower and so I'm rounding up a few extra sessions for (likely) the weekend of the 15th of May!! If you are interested, let me know asap. I've already got 4 client's who've said they are "in".... and I think I only plan to do 2 or 3 more!
