And Then There Were Three...

Laura & Steve are expecting a baby boy, Steve Jr., in early August.  This is a long-awaited little one and I was so excited to photograph this family.  I get to be a guest at their planned C-section and will be documenting little Steve's arrival.  I'm pretty excited about that... not something I get to do all that often due to my 2 little ones.  It's not that easy for me to be available on a moment's notice... but the "planned" element works out well for me!!!  If all births could be this way... I could add this service onto my repertoire!  Oh well... another season of my life!!?  Laura visited me at my home late last week to review clothing choices with me, she was a little overwhelmed with clothing choices as this was a first for her (pictures).  I had only met her once before, but I was struck by her glow... she was literally glowing and had a warm, happy pregnancy glow that I hear people talk about all the time.  You'd think I'd have seen this before?  She is beautiful!  I couldn't be happier for this family and I'm so excited for our hospital and newborn/family sessions!!

Congratulations & I'll see you soon guys!

Aidan- Again!!

Here are a few more shots from my second session with Mr. Aidan!  We got rained out the first time and decided to meet early in the morning to avoid the rain.... little did we know, we found a few more smiles too!  Mornings are always best for babies, just not for the heat!  Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from round 2!

Thursday

The Doctors Are In!

Brock, Tiffinie, & Baby Bryce decided on Deerfield Beach as their choice location for their infant session!  This was maybe the 2nd time in 3 years that I've had a family do a beach session with a little tiny one.  It was refreshing to get to "shoot" outside the box and appreciate how the warm sun can really show off a newborn baby so nicely!  Mommy & Daddy both work in the dental field and brought medical scrubs for all three of them!!  How stinkin' cute is that?  Baby scrubs!!  Bryce looked like a natural and JUST like Daddy too (sorry Tiffinie).  They were a lot of fun and I was sorry (for myself) to learn that they will be leaving the area and moving to Tennessee here shortly.  Best of luck to you guys.. enjoy all the open spaces and easy pace of living.... and send some my way, will ya?  :)

Saturday

Max- My Gap Baby!

Max is my little Gap Baby!  I've called him that ever since our 2nd session when he was about a year old!  You'll see him on my website with his gorgeous blue eyes and longer hair.  I suggested to his mom and dad that they market his pictures with some local kids modeling companies.  I saw him in the Gap adds, hence my nickname for him!  He's gotten some work, though he's entered a new shy faze that hasn't proved convenient for being in front of the camera!!

This was my 5th session with his family.... I'm not finished editing yet, but these are a few of my favorites so far!

Thursday

In Bloom is LIVE!!

Wow... check out this awesome video clip that was so generously put together for my by one of my clients..... I was blown away!!!  Thanks to Jason & Gillian, as well as Awakened Films for this wonderful video testimonial!!  I'm so proud!!  I'll have this link on my website in a few days!

I did this session with Jason and Gillian just to bless them as a family while I was up visiting my in-laws in New Jersey last month... it just goes to show you that if you purpose to be a blessing to others..... blessings are bestowed on you!  God is so good!  :)

Beauty & The Beach...

OK, I'm so corny with my post titles... I know.  But.... it's my blog and I can be corny if I want to!

Alright, now about these images!  This is Hope & Cleve's first baby, they are expecting a little girl.  They aren't sharing their little one's name just yet, which seems to be a growing trend these days.  It seems as though people are pretty opinionated these days and parents-to-be are getting tired of hearing the disapproval of their chosen name.  I think I like this idea... keep it a surprise!!  I distinctly remember my sister-in-law Natalie giving the veto on about 5 or 6 names we were considering for Elise and it was QUITE irritating!!! (Love ya Nat!)   So, if there is ever to be a Baby Carbone #3... I may get on the no-name till baby comes bus!  What do you think?  Leave a comment and let me know!

Hope was a real trooper to do a beach session in this South Florida heat.... it didn't help that it was a very still day... no breeze whatsoever!  Our goal: Get in.  Get out.  And that we did!  Thank you again Hope for meeting with me and I can't wait to meet your new little bundle when she arrives!  Check back for baby girl's blog post in a month or two!

Fun with Aidan... and Textures!!?

Little Mr. Aidan has got some of the most gorgeous green/brown eyes I've ever seen.  I've been in awe as I've worked on his images.  He's a cutie little guy who spent a lot of time looking at me with a funny confused look on his face... like, "what in the world are you doing?" as I was taking his pictures.  We met at Boca Tierra Park for this session.  It was beautiful when we got there.... and not 20 minutes later we were getting drenched in a serious downpour of rain.  That's Florida for you... "if you don't like the weather, wait 30 minutes!" as my Dad has always said!  Nevertheless, here are a few of the adorable images we got in our quick session.  Notice the cool new textures I incorporated into the images.... something I've been playing around with.  I have to say, I really love the overall effect!  More to come on that! :)
