There's Just Something About Gavin...

This is my second little "client" named Gavin and I'm tellin' ya.... this cutie's got some personality!  Yesterday was this Gavin's first birthday!!!  So, to celebrate.... mom & dad took Gavin to the beach to take some pictures with me!!!  (I'm honored!)  Gavin's grandmother (who looks like Gavin's Aunt!)  was in town visiting so it was even more of a photo opp... Gavin was a little ham from the get go and just had a way of turning it on as soon as the camera was on him!  I especially enjoyed his little scrunchy nose face he kept making and those two big front teeth!  It was funny because I felt like I was looking at my Elise who makes the same face and just got her first front tooth in a few days ago.  There are a TON of great shots to choose from guys... these were just a few that caught my eye on first edit!   I'm looking forward to doing baby #2's pictures one of these days!! :)  So glad you are thinking of capturing that time as well, you'll be so glad you did!

Another Miracle...

Steve Jr. is a baby that has been a true blessing to his mommy and daddy!  Born 5 weeks early and after years of trying.... it is very plain to see that he has already brought a ton of life and love to his family!  It was fun to come back today and meet the little man who was in the belly the first round of pictures!  He was actually very sleepy when I first got to the house.. but perked up in no time and did beautifully!  He is really a nice combination of his mom and dad... I was struck by his sweet features and think he's going to be even more handsome later on... no doubt the girls will be callin' this house! :)  His mommy invited me to stay and actually cooked me a delicious omelette for breakfast!  It was such an unexpected treat and I enjoyed my extra time for good food & great conversation!  Thank you Laura.. just let me know when you are ready for your last session!  I'll be in touch soon!

Miss Natalie...

Miss Natalie...

There seems to be no shortage of beautiful little girls coming around to have their pictures taken!  Little Natalie sure was fun to photograph... we did a lot of playing and being silly and got some really sweet shots of her little personality!  These were a few of my favorites, though there are a ton of smiles and silly faces in the complete gallery.  Her mom, Christine, is one of my dearest friends.  We've talked about doing a session for just about forever!!  So glad we were finally able to make it happen!  I think it was worth the wait!

The Homrich Beauties! -Part One

The Homrich Beauties! -Part Two

So these lovely ladies are a part of the Homrich Family.  I know this family from my old church and was thrilled to get the call that they'd like some family pictures!  Their stair-step little girlies are just gorgeous and I am thrilled with their session results!  Their parents are going to need a shotgun at the front door to keep the boys away when they get older!!  I'm behind on getting this post up, so Mom has already seen the gallery and was so excited at the outcome!  Music to my ears...

Baby Landon...1

Baby Landon...2

This is one sweet little baby... Landon was born 3 weeks ago to Holly & Chris.  It was so fun to come back and see him... he's a strong little guy... he pushed himself up and over onto his side when he was on his tummy.  We were all really impressed!  Mom & Dad stumbled onto what seemed to be a serious trick.... the hair dryer!!!!  Landon got a little fussy and they plugged in the hair dryer right next to where we were shooting and he was happy and content as could be!  I had heard of this, but never realized how well it worked!  I'm going to have to start carrying one with me in the "bag o' tricks" when I do newborn sessions!!!  A typical newborn session can be very quick.. like this one (maybe 40 minutes) or reaaaaally long (3 hours) due to stopping and starting (mostly because of very hungry tummies or just a case of the fussies!)  These are all things that I go in expecting, of course, but it was great to learn a new possible source of calming down my subjects!!?  We'll see, perhaps it's just a Landon thing?! :)

We shot again in this couple's bedroom... they have these great french doors that get some very nice soft light... I loved how the images turned out with the great backlight... it was like the light was just behind them... hugging them... it was a really nice effect.  I also shot some of Holly's pregnancy shots in front of these doors... and they actually turned out to be some of my favorites from her session.  If you'd like to see, look back to the month of September!

Holiday 2008!!

Holiday 2008!!

Well, it's a miracle I got these examples finished and uploaded so that you can actually SEE that I offer these holiday cards!!!?  My goal time was about 2 months ago, but I've been just trying to keep my head above water... so.. better late than never?!

I think these "Distressed Victorian" templates are gorgeous, and I had to have them the minute I saw them.  I will be offering these as an add on to booked packages for a special discounted rate, but will gladly design a card with an image that you send me too!  On most of the cards, I am able to customize the text to whatever holiday you celebrate or keep it general too.

Please inquire as to the pricing... the more you order, the greater the discount I can give!  (..and my logo will not be on your card!!)  If you like these, check back in another month or so, as I'll be adding a gorgeous line of Monogram Announcement/Invite Cards.... they are beautiful and will be an elegant fit for many occasions.

To see the full line of cards, visit my website and click "Holiday," then click the card gallery.  These are my favorites just to give you a taste!  Have a wonderful holiday season...
