Bridget's beautiful engagement ring on a Blue Bonnet, the Texas state flower... for my friends in South Florida! These beautiful flowers smell divine and literally cover the fields in the Spring... it looks like a big, blue blanket on the ground! This beautiful pink flowering tree is called a Red Bud... though they look like Cherry Blossoms to me! Beautiful! I just had to snap a few with this tree!! My favorite house in West Texas!!!! Ahhhhhh..... yummy light! These last few will always have some nostalgia attached to them for me! They were taken on the property where we live now... our first house in Texas (and we move in less than a week)! As you can see, the dirt road that leads up the hill to our house is lined with majestic Pine trees... I was so glad to finally get to bring a couple here for pictures! The sunset was everything I hoped it would be for this session! Yay! Ok so I shot this awesome session weeks ago and posted just a taste of the images on my Facebook fan page... but slacked on getting a proper blog post done... and this session is quite deserving (I think!). I'll be joining Bridget & Wesley in South Padre Island in July as they tie the knot and begin their adventure! I'm very excited to be with them and see the island! Not only are they getting married on the beach, but they have reserved a beach house for the reception which should be very quaint. The next day, they are going to put their fancies back on and we are going to do an after-session and galavant around the island a bit to do some very artistic and fun wedding photos.... sort of a let your hair down and have fun session! THIS... I'm especially excited about! :) I was really pleased with these images... I just loved the warm light and the Spring accents. The shot in the house with the light streaming in through the crack in the wall was just yummy! One of those times you look through the lens and go..."ooooh my!?" with excitement! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post these... but today, in the midst of laundry, packing, 2 crazy kids, and morning sickness..... a blog post sounded about as good to me as a cup of Starbuck's coffee would on a non-pregnant day! Ahhhh...... here it is... warm, sweet, and delicious! :) (and that's right, we are expecting Baby Carbone #3 around Christmas time!)
