I've had the privilege of documenting sweet Lauren's milestones since being the her mommy's belly! Another one of my JOY (Just One Year) clients whom I get to see and work with every 3 months during her first year! I must give her mommy, Lesli, some major kudos for so beautifully styling her sessions!! Every time I see her (and her big brother Will), she's beautifully dressed in vintage baby clothes... classic & timeless, which I love because 20 years from now her photos will still be classic & timeless, not trendy and dated!! Not to mention the fact that when I suggested meeting at 6:45am in efforts to capture the "good light" early in the morning (since that's when Lauren is at her best)I'm so in love with these images... soft and dreamy... JUST the kind of work I love to create! Enjoy!
Precious little smile!!
Swooon! Lesli always comes dressed to be in a few photos with Lauren... saw this area behind us and immediately saw this photo in my mind!
Sweet little sassy girl... can't believe the next time I take her photos she'll be ONE!! :)
I sooo enjoyed seeing lil Miss Callie for her 6 month milestone session! She's grown so much and is on the move crawling and pulling up! Her mama says she's into EVERYTHING which doesn't surprise me a bit! I loved the sweet outfits she came with... these types of sessions are such girly fun!! Here are a few of my favorites!!
My most favorite!!! Love those beautiful blues!! What a doll! See you in 3 months Miss Callie!
I'm headed out in about an hour to go photograph these two gettin' hitched (do I sound like a Texan?!!) this evening! I met Russ at his graphic design shop here in our little town and he's helped me on a project or two in the past. I was tickled when he called and asked me to photograph his engagement session with his new bride to be!! I met Terri for the first time at the session, and she was just as sweet as could be... a seriously tall drink of water with beautiful eyes and lovely auburn hair (the color I'd kill for!). What I loved MOST about their session was just the electricity between the two of them!! At first, she was completely nervous and I could tell he was all about making her feel comfortable and just engaging her in the moment. I could literally see the uneasiness fall off of her like a coat! They were seriously adorable together and just made the session so much fun for me!! They were comfortable in their own skin and that is just so refreshing as a photographer!
Their ceremony will be at the Moss Creek Ranch... a quaint little B&B in Big Spring... can't wait to see what fun awaits me there!! So honored to be with them on this special day!! Stay tuned!!
I first met Ashley out at my son's school, where I saw her...... day after day...... in a cute hat and shades. I think this was the first time I had ever actually SEEN her without them... and my, might I say how lovely she looked surrounded by her sweet hubby and babies! Her little bug, Cason, and I always had a little chat of sorts while we were waiting on school to let out..... I've always been captivated by his gorgeous blues and hoped I'd one day get the chance to get my camera on him!! What fun!!! Hope you enjoy this sneak peek! :)
Met this sweet family last weekend... their little sweetie was a bit camera shy at first but relaxed into it a bit as time went on. I actually love it when a little one plays it a bit coy.... gives me the opportunity to capture soft and delicate images like these where they are just being themselves and not playing it up to the camera!!
PS. I'm just loving my decision to only shoot at "golden hour" ... or the last hour to hour and a half before the sun sets and the light is just sublime. Can you see it here? So soft and dreamy... I just love it! Makes editing a breeze and I'm just so much happier in general! Best business decision ever!
Above & Below: My favorite two images so far.... I just want to squeeze her!
