Vacation Time
Well... the kids and I are in Chatham, New Jersey visiting family for a few weeks... just some good R & R for mommy and playtime with the Trystan & Elise! Spring is in full bloom here and it's blowing my mind. We miss out on sooo much in South Florida. It irritates me actually? I can tell that I've been in Florida for too long. 22 years to be exact. Too long. There are seasons out there... did anybody know this?? I'm too young to remember and it's been too long since I've been up north during the spring. Here are a few pictures from our meandering afternoons outside. I could get used to this place....
Monday
Last Minute Surprises...
So... Sonja called me on Tuesday. She's been given a gift certificate by a friend of her's for a sitting with me. She's was 37 weeks along... and I was due to go out of town on Thursday for about a month!!! Can we say..... uh-ooooh? :) Well, Wednesday was THE day... and thankfully it worked out for both of us. She actually came to my home to do the session, something I never do anymore because with 2 babies in the house, it's pretty hard to be professional! Since we were in a crunch and she was a friend of a friend... and she wanted studio-photos... it all worked out! Here is some of the fruit of our time! Word has it she's still pregnant.... and ready to birth her bambino any day now!! I remember that too stage only too well! Just goes to show that it's always worth a phone call because sometimes last minute attempts (in general) are better than none at all!!
Why I Loove Infant Sessions!!
So.. this is baby Griffin! Love his name, it was the name Matt & I had chosen had our daughter been a son! I was really looking forward to this session.. not only to come back and meet the baby in the belly, but because this family wanted to do a true infant session (done within the baby's first month). They grow and change so quickly that after a month... they are already losing that "freshy" look. I find lately that most of my clients are waiting for various reasons to do the second session until 3 months or beyond... so this was a treat for me! Their home has some large windows that gave amazing light... another thing that is hard to find in South Florida it seems. He was a little champ and let me wrap him up and snap away... for about 10 minutes. The whole session took about 30 minutes total and was cut short, much to mom & dad's dismay! I was thrilled.. because I knew I had gotten what I came for!! It was perfect and just what I had hoped for! Mom & Dad agreed! I'll be back in June to get some chunky-baby shots... and some more family moments. Griffin's all over my website too.... yay!
Thursday
Baby Dylan!
This little guy is about a week older than my Elise. I met this lovely family when we did mom, Stacey's, pregnancy photos at Deerfield Beach. One of the things I love about my job are the friendships that develop. Stacy and I have become friends now... we have a lot in common... both of our kids are basically the same ages. Can we say, playdates? :) She has a beautiful family and it was a great session... just lounging in the bedroom. They have a gorgeous home that I hope to visit again for picture-taking purposes! Lots of possibilities as Dylan gets older!
Monday
Mr. Funny Guy!
So... this is Gavin. He's a sassy one year old I recently photographed at his beautiful home in Boca Raton. Gavin was awesome, easiest gig I ever had! He literally cracked up at me for about the first 15 minutes of the session. I just snapped away, loving every minute. His mom & I were laughing right along with him which made him laugh harder!! Apparently, he thought his reflection in my lens was hysterical!
I'd kill for his hair color and creamy skin. Not so sure how I'd look as a red-head though? Hmm. Back to Gavin. What a little muffin! I'm in love with his little face after staring at it for so long! He's surely going to debut on my new website!!
