This adorable couple got married on a beautiful West Texas day in July in Abilene. If you check out my blog from time to time, you've likely seen their engagement photos & Kayla's Firehouse Bridals! I loved this wedding because I had already done two sessions with them and when it come time to the big day, we already had a very nice rapport built already and working with them was easy! I originally pulled about 80+ images to blog... which is TOO MANY for a blog post!! I didn't do a final count, but utilized my blog boards to try to group some of them together... otherwise I don't even think all of the images would fit under one post!
Kayla took a few minutes out of her getting ready time to write a note to her groom.. which I thought was so thoughtful.
These were all shot by my uber-talented "PFF" (photographer friend forever) Leah McClean from the Salted Image... she did quite the fabulous job with all the guys... keep scrolling, you'll see more of her awesomeness!!
The Bride & her Mom
I love this shot!
LOVE this Leah, you rock!
So they didn't want to see one another before the ceremony... so we did these shots of them together, but where they couldn't see one another before-hand! It was so sweet to hear them talking to one another from around the corner... Leah and I fell in love with Taylor as he got all choked up just hearing his bride and anticipating what was to come! What a sweetie! :)
Holy gorgeous sun flare batman!!!?! What a fun capture this was! The sun was just above the building and I managed to grab this shot just right!! Yessssss!
The New Mr. & Mrs. Smith!
The reception was held at the Elk's Arts Center at the Grace... what a gorgeous room for a reception! Floor to ceiling windows all over... what more could a photographer ask for!!?!
These folks knew how to tear it up on the dance floor, let me tell ya! :)
Top: A little twirl Middle: Kayla's Grandma who had some SERIOUS moves... :) Bottom: The Groom and his sister doing a little "Funky Chicken Dance" action!
Cutting the cake, notice the little flower girl in the image to the right! :)
When we finally lost all the natural light... we decided to have a little fun with our equipment!! The shot to the right was a seriously fun capture!
The fun had to end sometime.... so off they went! Taylor surprised Kayla with their honeymoon location... he took her to Cancun!!
Thank you again Kayla & Taylor for having us... Leah & I enjoyed you both and your sweet families... and it certainly was a beautiful day!
